Fizzy pop

So before finding out I was pregnant I used to drink fizzy pop (Pepsi & Coke) all the time. To the point about 4/5 cans a day! Since finding out I have cut down massively but I know a lot of sugar isn’t good or healthy. Has anyone found any alternative they like, or can anyone offer some advice on what’s best to drink instead?

Thank you ☺️

Are there not sugar free versions you can have instead? x

Air up bottle with kola pods obviously not the same but so healthy x

I’m intrigued.. what are these?? X

don't forget that most sugar free will still have caffeine in them. I think it's safe to have quite a few (4x 330ml cans) but worth remembering to add to the daily caffeine count.

I guess I could try Pepsi max, I’m not a huge fan of Diet Coke tbf x

Sparkling water could be an option to transition out of fizzy drinks?

Avatar

I was the same but I lowered the amount because of the caffeine rather than the sugar. I’ve just been limiting my intake and drinking juice. Someone said if u like soda/lemonade/sparking water u could put squash with them?

Coke Zero tastes fairly similar to Coke, definitely tastes better than Diet Coke

They’re a water bottle with pods you put on top that smell like things such as fruits, cola ect, which make your brain think that’s what you’re drinking but really it’s just water! I didn’t believe it until I got one🤣

I drank caffeine free pepsi max when pregnant ☺️

the sugar free versions are very high caffeine content x

I buy the 2 litre bottles from Sainsbury’s. But for a party last year, bought a big case of cans from Asda ☺️ it looks like a regular Pepsi max label, only has a gold band on it which says no caffeine

I just drink the caffeine free diet coke

I thought the cola airup was disgusting 🤣

I got pepsi max caffeine free - not great I know but I am addicted 🙈

I lived off coffee & fizzy drinks the whole of both my pregnancies and I had such healthy pregnancies, amazing births & 2 healthy children.
I say, eat what you want & drink what you want (within reason)

I get pepsi max caffeine free when I'm fancying something fizzy. It doesn't actually taste much different so it's nice. Also diet coke caffeine free but that's not too nice in taste.

I have a full fat bottle of coke almost every day 🤷‍♀️ did with my first and she’s fine

Try appletiser too has no caffeine and it's classed as one of your 5 a day. Quenches thirst 😋 I'm struggling with not having cherry coke as much as I want so stick to one can a day and then have the appletisers x

Caffeine free Pepsi Max isn't worth it - it doesn't fizz right! I was an actual addict before pregnancy and switched to Lidl's version of Lilt to try and keep my caffeine intake down

Yh I drunk a lot of coke in my first pregnancy and ended up with 3 kidney stones as is a leading cause alongside pregnancy so just be aware of this. Kidneys stones is way worse than the labour!

I still treated myself to full sugar coke now and then.
Also after week 11 ISH all I wanted was water non stop! Just added sugar free Robinsons into it I was constantly thirsty!

Caffeine free coke zero!!!

taste just like flat coke to me, I keep meaning to try it with sparkling water 🤣

As someone who had a cherry coke addiction, I’ve started to be fine with cherry Coke Zero. Takes a few tries but now it’s basically the same taste to me
