This is my first pregnancy and I’m thinking about having a baby shower but I don’t have a clue where to start. Venue wise, I think I know where I want it. But how many people/ who do you invite, what things do I set up to do, theme, games, food or no food- if there’s food do I, as the host pay? What is the general vibe of one?
What sort of things would you expect if you went to one? Or if you’ve had one what sort of things did you do/ have?

I just had my baby shower and gender reveal together. Hired a hall, got some party food with a cake, sandwiches, crisps etc. we didn’t really have much of a theme but had a decorating company come to suit the ball up for us. me and my partner paid for all but overall it wasn’t massively expensive.

I kept mine really casual and close knit and had 8 of my closest ladies in my life there. We had afternoon tea at a local place, pressies etc. nothing too much as I cannot stand being centre of attention 🤣 and I’m more about quality over quantity when it comes to people in my life. Just depends on what your vibe is. No right or wrong way of doing it. It’s your shower ☺️ also we all paid for our own afternoon tea, my mum paid for mine so I got free food ha much less stress I found! Have fun with yours!

I’m just planning mine at the moment! I’m going to a tearooms that have a private room. All you pay for is the afternoon tea per person which I will ask the guests to pay for. There will be quite a lot of us as I’m inviting work colleagues too. They also do three games for you and then you decorate. I moved up north 7 years ago so my mum is then doing a southern thing at her house but it will just be a few people and homemade afternoon tea. It’s so hard having people in both places xx
