Pessary induction
I’ve had the pessary in for about 2 hours and have been getting bad cramps every 10 mins, does this mean it’s working and labour might start sooner or does this happen everyone? It started pretty much straight away. They said it could take 24 hours for it to work

Hi, I had an induction last Friday. They put the pessary in at 3.30. I initially felt nothing for the first hour.
They told me I could go out for food or a walk if I wanted to and at around 4.30 I started having bad cramps. At 5.15 I had to rush back to the hospital.
Broke my waters at 5.45 and at 7.37 my baby arrived !
Sometimes they are 10 mins apart, other times it’s 2 mins apart. I’ve told the midwife and she doesn’t seem concerned, just said as long as I’m getting some sort of break in between. I don’t think I could go 24 hours having these cramps
I had my induction on Thursday and within the hour I was cramping but was irregular. Within 4 hours my waters broke and the contractions started coming regular. Hopefully it’s not a long drawn out process for u xxx
only like 1-2 cm
If you’re induced do you have to stay in hospital?
Yes u have to stay in hospital so they can monitor you
if ur low risk then the hospital lets you out! Every hospital and every patient is different but as long as there’s no complications you can head home until it progresses or water breaks.
