33 weeks and panicking! My parents just messaged to say they are positive for covid and I saw them Saturday. My partner has started displaying symptoms. I’m panicking due to being high risk anyway but have a an appointment and scan this Friday.

Don’t worry yourself too much , I had covid when I was having my last baby as a high risk pregnancy and it had been and gone but still testing positive at induction . Aslong as you inform your team they’ll advise you on what’s best to do, I’ve also had it again this high risk pregnancy and everything was okay , I know it’s so scary but just ring and speak to a midwife or your team , they’ll keep you right xx

Did you get the vaccine during early pregnancy? That should reduce your chances somewhat

I have it now, second time In my pregnancy I had all the vaccines and this will be my 4th time having covid all together, you will be fine xx just make your team aware xx

If you do have/get it inform your midwives and ensure to rest as much as possible even if you feel pretty normal. A recent study showed 1 in 10 pregnant women develop long covid so you need to listen to your body.
