I have recently received a letter about my little one on the wait list to be seen to see if he has autism or not. I was wondering how long was the wait list for some of your little ones. As the letter has said about a 40 week wait. My son is 2 year old.

My daughter is 2, by 4 we hope to be diagnosed it’s roughly a 2+ year wait
what signs did your little one show please? If you don’t mind me asking

Don't know where you are in the world but for us here in Surrey (UK) it was just short of 18 months. Feel free to message if you have questions x
im from Peterborough.

I noticed for 4+ months tbh, she had anxiety leaving the house, never responded to her name, didn’t play with toys how they should be and was generally behind on a lot, would tense and shake her body, loved spinning etc. she’s doing well now still very behind on a lot you can message me if you want to speak about anything or any questions x

Ah ok I think the wait is different for each area. If they've said 40 weeks then hopefully they will stick to it, I know the waiting is hard xx

I was told 2 years (Suffolk) by my GP. Although I was actually trying to find out the waiting time for cahms.
My son’s process was really quick two months and then a further three months for a disco assessment but that was ten years ago.

My daughter is also 2 and we were told 2 years and supposedly she’s “high priority” but despite me calling and checking, I haven’t heard anything

Best part of two years here..(UK, Birmingham)
