Langage on the birth certificate?

Hi there, is there any benefit to get the birth certificate bilingual English/Irish ? My kid is British/Irish by his father and french by me.

No benefit. They’ll be able to get a British or Irish passport regardless so long as a parent or grandparent was born on the island of Ireland (for an Irish passport)

Thanks, it can be extra cost of translation as well apparently. Administration can be so funny might go simple on that case 😅

Yeah if you’re registering in NI I think it’s a standard £8 for either or!x

extra charge when you need to translate the certificate like to get french citizenship for example or anything he will have to do with his birth certificate in France
