How should I tell them I’m done??? I work at Target and wanna leave the door open JUST in case I need a little change during holiday season. I don’t want to give them 2 weeks notice bc my body literally will not allow me to be working like that anymore. Idk how to tell them I wanna quit. I cut my hours from 30 down to 20 hours MAX maybe 2 months ago but they’re still scheduling me OD and putting me in sections where I have to do so much lifting and bending down. I’m finding myself calling out almost every time I’m scheduled. I worked twice last week and spent 3 days after those shifts recovering from the worst round ligament pain I’ve had all pregnancy I could barely move. I feel like I’m just being anxious about it for no reason but like 😅 I can’t help it. How do I word my email?? 🥴

can you get a letter from your doctor requesting to be placed on light duty. Your job should be accommodating to your pregnancy and finding duties for you to complete, as pregnancy is considered “disability”. I wouldn’t quit just because of that.. i’d talk to somebody and see what your options are. You’d kick yourself missing out on that money that could be used for things for your baby. I know it’s hard, i work in law enforcement.

Shouldn't be lifting more than 15-20 lbs now that we are all in our 3nd trimester (a gallon of milk is 8 pounds to give an idea). Definitely, Dr.s note on that, like Brilynn said, they have to accommodate your restrictions. Let your Dr know everything they are having you do so they can write what you shouldn't be doing.
You could "quit" also by having your Dr write you off work. Usually, at 30 weeks, they are fine writing the off work note.
