Insomnia- does it get worse right before labour?

2 days now I have gotten up at 4am due to being wide awake. I’m hoping it’s a sign😅

Not sure! I've heard you might be more tired right before labour, but not heard about insomnia getting worse! I hope it doesn't because my insomnia is already really bad 😂

I was waking every hour or two but the past two nights I’ve been up at 4! I came back to bed at 7-10. I just feel so drained :( I’m only 38 weeks but really can’t wait any longer 😭

@Shelley I'm 38 today too, been awake since about 5.30ish and tried to get back to sleep multiple times and its just not happened yet 😂 driving me insane, so tired!

I've had exactly the same this week (38+5)! Up at 4 unable to go back to sleep apart from naps here and there. The reflux was insanely bad yesterday too... can barely walk with PGP... hoping this little one gets a wriggle on soon 😅

Me too, I woke up at 2 last night and could not stop thinking about food! So went down to make toast and did some laundry 😂 went back upstairs to bed and could sleep then but sooo tired today! I’m losing my plug so likely labour coming soon xx

I’m 36 weeks and feeling more tired than usual and also have distrusted sleep..mainly to use the bathroom because of the pressure in my bladder. I hear it’s normal to experience fatigue when labour is near. All the best!

I do remember not being able to sleep much for about a week before I went into labour with my first. You’d think the body would want to get as much sleep as possible but nope 😆

I.was like this for theast 6+ weeks b3fore birth! I think it's your hormones and your body adjusting to the change that's about to happen

Yes I’ve got this too I keep waking at 4am and being wide awake which is so frustrating when you know soon you’ll be up every few hours with a newborn 🙈 I’ve been prescribed promethazine and take 3 tablets On a nighttime which has helped me sleep so much better though 🙌🏻

I’ve had constant braxton hicks since 3pm today. Really hoping it’s not tricking me 😅

38+5 and I sleep only for half the night now. Last night it was 9.30pm-2.30am. Tried to get back to sleep until 5am but nothing doing. Hoping for a better night tonight!
