Crosshouse Maternity Unit (partner staying)

So I'm nearing my due date with my second baby and the anxiety is hitting me hard. I had a terrible experience with my first and didn't feel looked after at all for so many reasons. I suffer from anxiety and this was on my notes last time and is again this time too. I am absolutely freaking out about my partner having to leave me. He left me for one night with our first but they then moved me to a private room and let my partner stay because they were short staffed and he could help with baby as I was pretty much bed bound so saved me pushing my button for help. Since covid I know the rules are stricter but I don't want to be left, I don't want my partner to leave me at all. He is my safe place and keeps me calm. I don't think they will give a hoot about how I feel and I know I don't deserve special treatment but I am even more scared this time round and I am worried he will have to go home every night.

My partner had to leave me for 4 nights in a row during my induction and almost missed the birth cause I went into Labour at 3am on the 4th night and he doesn’t drive 😫 he also had to go home hours after the birth as I gave birth later in the day and me and baby needed kept in. I’m under impression at crosshouse they really don’t allow males staying over unless the reasons are super valid. If you had a traumatic first birth this may be a valid reason, worth an ask x
