Any tips for getting rid of this rash?

I can’t get a good photo of it close up without the photo being grainy 😂 but it started off just a dot and now is all around his mouth months later. I went to the dermatologist, but nothing she prescribed for it has worked. I’ll go again if nothing else works, but sometimes other parents have better advice. We thought it must be drool related, but it also seems to be getting worse no matter what I do so I don’t know. All advice welcome! Edit: have tried eucerin eczema cream, hydrocortisone, vanicream and lotrimin

Hydrocortisone cream!

What did the dermatologist prescribe?

@Haley 💚 Lotrimin and hydrocortisone cream, but since neither seem to be working I’m wary of continuing on with it since I think it can be harsh on the skin if used too long

@Madelyn I’ve heard of people having success with Dove sensitive! Thank you

I use Cerave and Aquaphor. Is the hydrocortisone 1% or 2.5%? Maybe you need a higher dose.

Lots of lotion. Mine has had that recently and I just used regular lotion

@Haley 💚 I’ve tried both 1% and 2.5%! Cerave wash or lotion or both?

@Alyssa about how long did it take for it to go away? I’ve been using lotion for a few months now and it’s less red thankfully but spreading more, it seems

@Jenny sheesh. Yea steroid creams aren’t good long term. We use the Cerave lotion and Aquaphor on top. My doctor said basically keep them greasy when there are flare ups.

@Haley 💚 ugh. I’m going to just try to be more aggressive with the lotion/aquaphor. It doesn’t seem to hurt or itch him, but I just don’t want it getting worse than it already is. Thanks for the help!
