Is it just me that find all over the bump maternity jeans/trousers uncomfortable?

I feel like other people must be ok with them or shops would t keep selling them but I just find them so uncomfortable like they’re always too tight feeling but then any looser they wouldn’t hold the jeans up but I still end up cutting off the over the bump bit and just having to pull my jeans back up every 30 seconds because that’s better than struggling to breathe 😅 just wondering if anyone else has this issue or if I’m weird? 😂

I hated all the ones I brought and didn't wear them, they were so uncomfortable 😩 I wore leggings and dresses my entire pregnancy xx

I absolutely love over the bump ones and can't stand under the bump lol. Unless the over the bump part isn't big enough for my huge bump, then it's annoying xx

I’ve just managed in my usual jeggings and leggings, I can’t see the point in maternity ones

I luckily got some over bump maternity jeans right at the beginning from Vinted for about £5 each, however I wore them once and I’ve lived in leggings ever since. I find them so much more comfortable xx

I've never bought those, they just look awful and uncomfortable. Yoga pants around the house, looser dresses and tights + a nice cardigan/tailored jacket on top has been my way to go!.

I love my H&M jeans. Getting a fit that works is not easy, especially since a lot of stores only do maternity online. But after I found a model that works, I am loving these! It was basically the only piece of maternity wear I bought, apart from gym leggings.

I absolutely cannot stand over the bump jeans etc because it feels like my bump is suffocating! So I just wear my usual comfy leggings and position them under my bump and wear baggier T-shirts over my bump so i feel like I can actually breathe 😂😂😂 xxx

See even the over the bump leggings I’ve found soooo uncomfortable and just end up cutting off the bump part and wearing them under the bump and having to pull them up constantly because I just find every single pair to be too tight on the bump and it’s so uncomfortable 😭 I can’t wait for the weather to be warm enough to just wear floaty dresses without tights or leggings or anything because it’s the only thing I find comfortable now 😅 I would agree though that H&M jeans seem to be the best ones, I got a couple pairs of them on vinted and just cut off the elastic at the very top of the over the bump waist but kept the rest of the stretchy material and they stay up not bad and are comfy-ish now but I still just don’t like having any tight fabric over the bump tbh

really?! Like wearing them as normal you mean? Not rolling them down under the bump or anything? There’s no way I could wear any of my normal clothes just now haha but I have turned loads of them into maternity ones with just cutting off the waistbands and sewing in a thin bit of elastic to be a really soft waistband on them instead and that’s working the best for comfort but I still have to pull them up all the time haha

yeah- I just wear them normally! Got those halara ones in my normal size and they’re still going strong at 31 weeks!

I suppose it is just the case you will not feel comfortable with any over the bump jeans/leggings/etc… I actually like to feel that the belly is “dressed” - if this makes any sense. When I wear dresses, I usually wear a cami underneath for the same reason and over the bump tights.

Best thing I bought was maternity underwear 😮‍💨 then found that asda maternity jeggings worked best for me and I never even noticed them! I had a spring baby and a summer baby so went through all the seasons pregnant 🥵 couldn’t get on with maternity leggings as they were too tight but found the jeggings much more breathable!

I hear you! I feel so sensitive to anything too tight! Personally I really like some of the over the bump jeans I've found ( bought a few different pairs off Vinted) but I have to massively size up from my usual size! A friend who is the exact same size as me lent me all her maternity gear and I found it unbearably tight!!
I would recommend trying a few more items and see how you get on! H&M maternity jeans are good, just go big on the sizes! Xx
