Food/ milk help!

Hello mamas! I’m hoping I can get some advice. My soon to be 17 month old slowly started eating less and less food. He also sits less time on high chair. Now he’s more picky about what he eats. Because he’s barely eating solids, now he’s breast feeding more on demand. He used to drink milk every 3-4 hours and now he’s drinking every 2 hours. These new changes interfere with me cooking and eating for myself. I normally wouldn’t mind and just go along with it. But next week I’m attending a wedding and I’m the maid of honor. So I’ll be gone most of the day and see babe until the reception. The original plan was for baby to stay with dad since he ate food. And I would breast feed him when I saw him at reception. But now I need to find a way to feed him and fast! I want to introduce him to formula but he can’t have milk. He’s intolerant. Any tips please?! Any formulas out there that are not dairy based? I also need to get him used to bottles in a week now 😵‍💫😵‍💫. Send help!!!!

Picture so I don’t get lost

At 17 months he doesn’t need milk, he can eat mostly solids and be fine. I believe if he is not with you that he will he solids when he is hungry.

He should be fine without milk. My daughter is the same way but when she’s not with me when I’m at work she actually eats a lot more food since she’s not on my boobs
I’ve noticed she eats less food with me since she nurses constantly throughout the day

Hi momma I hear your frustration. At this age baby should not be dependent on milk anymore however I understand it can’t be stressful meeting his needs when he doesn’t want solids. You do not need to introduce formula at this point anymore he can drink lactose free milk or continue with breastmilk in a cup. (Milks; Lactaid, A1, horizon organic: it’s best if you discuss which is best for him with your health care provider) You can use training cups instead of introducing the bottle. The older he is the more prone it is for bottle use to cause health issues so I would just give him milk in a training cup. You can give him little milk in a cup during lunch and dinner

Thanks for the tips! I think instead of trying formulas I’ll try food pouches instead

I make this soup my daughter goes crazy over when she is picky. ABC soup.
1. Chicken bone broth (I usually make it in big batches.)
2. Carrot, tomato, zucchini
3. Dash of tomato consommé
4. Dash Pepper and garlic powder
5. I add a little pasta seeds, abc pasta, whatever you have.

Then if you have any chicken I’ll add a little. (She ate an entire bowl yesterday and it has all the vitamins she needs)
