First time buyers
We are interested in one property, it's not on the market yet.
We viewed it first and we really liked it, it's been over 3 weeks now, it's still not on the market. We had made 2 offers which were rejected a week ago.
I called the agent this morning to check, it's still not available yet. It was previously listed on sale back in Nov 23. When I asked the reason I was told there was a chain so the buyers pulled it.
I am just surprised it's been over 3 weeks since I viewed the property 2 of my offers were rejected and it's still not on the market.
Could there be any other reason? Is there anything I need to check ?

Go to the house. I know this seems a little intrusive but estate agents can be sly and we’ve lost houses and the vendor didn’t even receive the offer. Our asking price offer rejected only to find them sell for less a month later. Just be bold. Post something through the door with your number on. The vendor might be happy to cut the vultures out of their offer. :)
The worst that can happen is the ex wife who doesn’t want to sell might be the one in the house and your letter gets ignored and in that case you still have the estate agents 😂 x
We actually did put a note through the door of the house we wanted to buy and it worked! We ended up buying privately as the vendors hadn't actually signed a contract with the estate agents.
