Hi all, we are going to Cyprus on good Friday. Any tips? Have people found nappies, wipes, calpol, milk when abroad? Or do we need to pack the kitchen sink? Did people take a car seat and a buggy? Or hire the seat over there? Also what did u dress them in? Or was it mostly swimwear and nappy? I'm slightly obsessed with buying clothes just wondering if it's even worth it lol š¤. How wer babies on the actual flight?

I would pack all of those items, also check wether you need to use bottled water to make feeds abroad as tap water isnāt as safe.
Iāve heard people donāt use car seats when travelling from airport to hotel etc but I donāt know how I feel about that.
Iāve not been abroad with my little one but I would pack all of the above, try and find a compact buggy to take with you as a carry on, and clothes Iād just pack vests sleep suits and swimwear really! Itās going to be hot x

Omg didn't even think about the water but u r right! X

You can get inflatables on Amazon that have a cover attached - great for sun protection while staying cool in the water.

So we went to Cyprus when our baby was 3 months old - the car seats provided with car rentals are APPALLING!! We will now always rent one that we know and like or weāve got a spare one for holidays. It was really stressful and was so dangerous we didnāt take the car out.
Depends where you are staying, we ran out of nappies so we went to the little shops and pampers were equivalent to almost £20! So we went to Lidl and got nappies there. They were surprisingly pretty good

Taken my little boy abroad 5 times (I know š) so well versed!
Nappies and wipes can be super expensive so take as many as you can! We ran out in both Portugal and lanzarote and had to pay much more than home!
Take calpol, teething powder and thermometer.
Transfers are touch and go with car seats, weāve had 2 great and a few awful. Weāve never rented a car so havenāt needed a car seat so no idea!
If youāre going self catering, ask about a high chair. Tesco do disposable bibs which weāve found useful this week when out and about for snacks etc but Iāve taken his coverall bib for breakfast and dinner. Also remember babies cutlery, water cup and loads of snacks haha.
White noise machine and night light from home are useful :) also grab a snooze shade from Vinted if your babe will go in the pram!
The flight will be better than you imagine š although it might not feel like it, 95% of the other passengers will love seeing your baby! Take snacks, books, toys etc.

Baby carrier - my boy hates the pram so lives in a baby carrier but itās super useful at airport and on the plane if you have a nosy baby!

Buy ear defenders for the flight just incase! My baby slept through takeoff as soon as I put them on his ears(try and time naps with the floght). Lots of gentle rocking and shushing and they'll be fine. Download some programmes on your phone if needs be as it's a long journey. 9 times out of 10 they'll just be looking around at everyone anyway so don't worry about the flight too muchš. I took a fold up bath seat as its so slippy holding them in your hands!!!. I'd day definitely bring your own formula, they do have alternatives but best to stick with your own. You can't drink the tap water so you'll have to buy bottles once you get there and boil it as usual to make up bottles. Don't buy too many clothes..... its sooooooo hot in the day!!!! My baby was in all cotton vests and shorts and muslin over his legs in his pram to cover him up. Definitely buy a fan that you can attach to the pram!!! I bought a cooling mat that I put in the pram with a blanket ontop for him to be extra cool!
Have a great holiday š

From experience, everywhere closes in Cyprus for Easter weekend so there will be very little shops open so take as much as you can!

Thanks all xx
