Transitioning to cows milk
Does any one have any suggestions, my little girl doesn’t like cows milk… she will have one sip then chuck the bottle.
She is 1 in less then 2 weeks and formula fed from day 1.
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated on how you transitioned your little one to cows milk or stuff I could try to get her use to it !
(She has cows milk with cereal but hardly eats it because of the milk)

Have you tried it warm?
You could titrate it to get her used to the taste? So if she 9oz formula for example, do 8oz formula and 1oz cows milk, then after a few days move to 7oz formula and 2oz cows milk until it’s just full cows milk. It can work quite well to get them used to the taste x

I was thinking of doing this but wasn’t sure if I could mix both together! Xx
She doesn’t have to drink cows milk if she doesn’t like it. It’s important to make sure she’s getting calcium in but there are other ways you can do this so could just wean off bottles and not replace with cows milk, obviously harder if she’s very attached to a bottle before bed or something

Have you tried in a normal bottle? I know they don't want us using bottles after 15months or so but still a way off yet. I was going to try a straight swap, thinking because he has cows milk in cereal he will drink it but maybe not 😅
I just worry he might wake up hungry in the night if he's just drinking cows milk before bed as it's not as filling for them? That's why some people give their babies a supper, guess we will all find out soon enough 😂
Mine never drank cows milk and still don't unless it's in a milkshake! I just make sure they have a vitamin each day, they have milk on fortified cereal and other dairy products, like cheese and yoghurt
Sounds daft but try putting sugar in it warm. A bit of sugar isnt going to harm. Their formula is naturally sweeter than cows milk. I do this all the time for myself when I have indigestion or heart burn as it works a treat. Just a suggestion. Luckily my boy took to cows milk straight away or I would have tried this
My daughter was like this with milk. I did a direct swap but left it in her bottle! She downed it immediately without batting an eye at the change. I will tackle the change in cup soon x
I will have to try this for my little one as his 1 next week on 3 bottles a day but I have not yet introduced cows milk
My LG has tried cows milk with her cereal and seemed to like it so I started mixing her bottles 5 oz formula 2oz cows milk, she seemed to enjoy it, yesterday I gave her 3oz cows milk and seemed to enjoy it to but I have a feeling she will like it even more wanted
