I know there isn’t just one right answer but I enjoy the beedback I receive here. We are trying to bank for 2 babies. I’m not sure if I should do another ER. I’ve done two so far and I have a 5bb, 4bb, 4 bb, 5bc and 6aa. The 6aa and 4bb are getting pgt tested now but so far from the other 3, we have two PGT normals. I’m 33 and I guess I don’t want to do another ER but I probably would regret it in a few years or later on if I didn’t do it now. Financially and mentally not up for it now.

Honestly I wouldn't do another one. They say 3 untested embryos for every live birth. We transfered 2 so far and first was a chemical and second is our 7 month old. Both PGTA tested. Some people get lucky and get 3 kids from 3 embryos. I would transfer what you have and go from there. I'd maybe do another one if you only have 2 euploid but even then.. it's possible for both to result in a live birth. Is transfering prior to doing another retrieval possible? We did 2 retrievals thinking we would have to and ended up with 10 euploid and 1 mosaic embryo and no idea what we are going to do with the rest when we are done. And wasted money doing a second retrieval.

Hiya it’s completely how you feel. By the sounds of it take a break now but I would say if you’re determined to do another one don’t leave it too long. I’m struggling with mine and not got a single one gets harder as we age. Whichever way you go best of luck xx

Hi, 10 euploid is amazing! I was wondering what your experience was with how likely top graded embryos are likely to be euploid? Did you find that most of your top grade ones were euploid? We have 4 embryos that are: 5AA, 5AA, 5AA and 5BA but they are not tested. I’m debating testing them. What do you think the chances of them being euploid are? We also want to have 2 children but I’m not sure if we will be able to get 2 out of these 4 eggs that we have.

Hi Maggie
I understand the dilemma re embryo banking. I had 4 euploid embryos from 2 transfers and had a chemical and an MMC from the first two I transferred. I didn’t want to transfer a third without doing another retrieval as I wanted to have 2 euploid embryos left for a second child (and I’m not getting any younger)
We got 4 more euploid embryos from our latest retrieval which was a nice surprise
I think you could maybe wait and see the pgt results of the 6aa and 4Bb and then decide what to do.

I wouldn’t be comfortable with any less than 6 pgt tested embryos for 2 live births. We have 2 kids and it took 5.

that’s comforting to know as I was really surprised and disappointed that our first 2 euploids didn’t result in a baby

It’s so hard. My son was our 2nd euploid transfer but it took 3 more to get our daughter. Stats do show a 95% chance of a live birth after 3 euploids which is why they tell you to bank but it can be really worrisome when you see some people have success on the first try. My RE was convinced it was just bad luck, I had a hard time trusting in that but ultimately she was right

Did you all find that your higher rated embryos were more likely to be euploid?
