Does anybody here had given birth at Larbet Forth Valley Hospital? How was the overall experience?
Do they have private rooms which can be allocated after delivery or is it shared wards only?
And are partners allowed only in visiting hours post the delivery?

My experience end of 2017 was good. Gave birth 22:35 and got moved to a shared ward around 3/4am.
My partner stayed until around 1am then left. After that it was normal visiting hours xx

I had both my babies at forthe valley and honestly couldn’t fault them. Both experiences were very different but both times the staff were amazing.
My first was an induction which I was in my own room for and then when I got taken round to the delivery room. I got out as soon as I could because I wanted to get home but stayed in my own room the whole time.
My second I went to hospital in established labour and was able to use the birthing pool. Again got home as soon as possible but had to spend the night due to the time my daughter was born but had my own room. We spent the night in the room I gave birth in. Both times my husband stayed with me from the minute we got there to the minute we left

I gave birth there 2 months ago, the experience was ok. I was in a private room the whole time for the birth and my husband stayed the whole time - a few days (also after the birth). The postnatal ward is a shared room, I assume you can have visitors there but not sure.
