Hi! I had a planned C sec in St Thomas. I was in for mid day but only had the surgery at 9:30 pm. The surgery was great otherwise and I felt very cared for by the team. Post surgery went okay- I was up and walking with no problems the next morning and it healed quite well, although I still feel some “pulls” after 5 months.
I chose to have my baby in St Thomas because of good reviews at the time- I know it’s quite far from us living in Barnet, but I didn’t mind.

I had mine on the 30th Jan I was so scared but it was absolutely fine it's just a weird feeling. I was at Royal free and all the staff were good and made me feel really relaxed, I think they could see how nervous I was. I had to be there at 8.30am but I was late so I missed my slot and went down to theater at 11.30. I'll be honest my recovery hasn't been great but I know people who have recovered really well. I've also got twins so double the work so think I'm exhausted so it's taking a little longer. But good luck you will be fine x

I had a planned c-section at the Whittington, my baby was breech. I had an afternoon surgery and had to be in the hospital around 11am, it was very chilled. It was a very calm experience and everyone made sure to accommodate my birth plan as much as possible and I was able to play music during surgery before the baby came out. Recovery was good too, they gave me a bag of meds to take home to help with pain management.

Had mine a little over a year ago in st Mary’s and honestly it was the easiest and care free process I have ever gone through! The recovery was also pretty good and quick! You will be fine! Best of luck

All very dependant. If you have complications such as gestational diabetics you will be the 1st.
But it’s all dependent on if there is an emergency.
If there is, you a lot will be pushed back.
I had our baby in October.
It was a planned c section as I had complications.
UCLH were amazing as usual

Yes, I went in on the 23rd at barnet. Had to be there at 7.30 am but didn't have him until 5.40 pm due to delays. My experience was mixed and mainly down to the initial delay and then some aftercare in the ward. I had tongonbavk in a few days later for a bleed for a week, and my experience was great! The actual c section was calm and straightforward. I was nervous but the theatre team was really lovely and kind! X
