Books?

My LO loves having a book read to him and I love reading to him. But it’s all day long! 😂 there’s only so many times I can sit and read to him. I’m not feeling well today either so have very little energy. Anyone have any suggestions? I don’t want to discourage him from books but I also need to be able to rest or get things done. We’ve been up since 6am and have read 75% of his book collection already 🤣

I was thinking about that! I’m not sure he would listen to it though. He likes to see the pictures etc but it could be worth a try. He does have a tablet that I haven’t let him have yet as I don’t want him to become reliant on it x

Oh, same! But like she loves her tonies box and changing the characters around - we don’t always hear the full story as she likes to swap the frequently but it keeps her amused. She hit some duplo for Christmas and she likes that too and her aqua doodle mat

he has soooo many other toys to play but is rarely interested in them. He’s such a little bookworm 😂 I may have to invest in a tonies box

Mine won’t sit still and do that 🤣x

mine never used to but he now comes over to me with a book and taps my knee saying ‘sit on your knee, read it’ 😂😂

My little boy is the same. Sometimes he likes to sit and chat to himself with a book or read to his soft toys. Could try and get him to read to teddy?

I’ve tried this all day today to no avail! He just throws a tantrum when I don’t read it to him. I just don’t know what the solution is really. I don’t want to discourage him from being into books but at the same time, there’s only so much I can read in a day! I know that sounds ridiculous/selfish but it’s honestly getting the point I’m not enjoying reading them to him 😔

YES! Brings books to us all day long!

don’t get me wrong, I love that he’s so interested in them. But it’s getting to feel like a chore now.
I think I’m going to remove them all from the living room (which is where he plays) but just leave a few in there and swap them out daily. I don’t want to discuss him but I also want to enjoy reading to him again
