Small soft spot on head

I can't even feel my baby's soft spot, all seems hard. I'm worried now, so following

I’ve just been for a recheck on this as at the 6-8 week doc appointment they said it was open but small but they have just said it’s still open and aren’t worried at all but just to reassure you the lady at the doctors appointment said to us that it’s extremely rare to close and cause issues and there is things that can be done (not sure what though 🤷‍♀️) she said that one boy that had his soft spot close too quick went on the hit all milestones and do very well so don’t worry too much! Easier said than done as I was worried too and googled it and scared myself 🤣🥰

oh girl don’t worry I’m sure you’re absolutely fine … but if you’re worried maybe just call your HV they can check for you! God it’s a constant worry!! I was worried enough for the jabs and now this 😩

Hi, at our 6/8 week check with the GP I mentioned not being able to feel the soft spot on the top of his head so we were urgently referred to a paediatrician (obviously started to panic and google). Saw the paediatrician and he said very much similar to what Lauren was told above. Some baby’s soft spots are not as soft as others (due to cartilage) or appear smaller but both are completely normal. The doctor said that head growth was following a ‘normal’ pattern and baby was meeting milestones so he was not concerned. We felt really reassured afterwards and panicked over nothing. I hope you have the same
