Is 'Mae' a popular middle name?

Is Mae a common middle name? We thought it was and have announced the full name of our little girl to friends and family (Eloise Mae ). We've since had quite a few cards congratulating us on the birth of Eloise Mae, as though that's her first name!

We've had the same with our little boy! I love his middle name, but for some reason it annoys me when people use it like it's a double first name 😅

@Pip yes, exactly how we feel! Don't get me wrong, it does make a lovely double first name but it's bothering us because that isn't correct. They'll catch on soon, plus it's a bit lengthy saying both names
