60lb weight gain

Before my last 2 babies I was 120lbs, I had my girl sept 2022 and my boy Nov 2023, basically back to back pregnancies. I am now 180 lbs. everyone including my mom is making comments about my stomach. If I haven't seen someone in awhile they look at my stomach and say are you pregnant again? My rounded stomach like I'm pregnant never really went away and I'm not sure why. My mom says people usually lose the belly after they have they baby but you didn't. I'm just super self conscious about my weight now and having people comment all the time isn't helping me.

My doctor prescribed me contrave for weight loss, he said he would give me ozempic but my ins won't cover it and I'd have to pay out of pocket. Has contrave worked for anyone?

I’m so sorry. Anyone making comments is beyond rude and doesn’t understand back to back pregnancies give your body ZERO rest and time recuperate. And your mom is just wrong. Most people do not loose the weight. I don’t know one woman whose body was ever the same after having kids. Mine has completely changed and I will never be as small as I was. Have you been checked for diastasis recti? I gained a ton of weight breastfeeding my son. I’m 2 years postpartum and just now I’m starting to loose some. Be easy on yourself. It doesn’t matter what people say. They just don’t get it.

I used contrave until my insurance didn't cover it anymore.... I LOVED IT. I lost 25lbs while on it. But I hope your doc told you that it has an alcohol and narcotic blocker in it. So if you were to ever get into an accident or have an emergency and needed pain medication it will make you super sick.

Oh and tell you mom and everyone else that EVERY body is different.

From how you described your stomach I would suggest you book an appointment with a pelvic floor PT as you might have DR. It’s super common after pregnancy especially when you’ve had two back to back and your body do not get to recover the first time.
What else I would suggest is to not focus on your end goal of loosing a lot of weight. Focus on making small changes in your lifestyle that will make you feel better and show your body some love. You gave birth to two little angles and your body needs time to recover, you have to treat it with love and respect for the work it has put it. Give it good nourishing food and movement and things will get better. And anyone giving you unsolicited advice tell them their can shove it right up their backside. You don’t need that negativity.
