Seoul South Korea - child friendly or no?

Hey Nikki, I'm going to Seoul in 3 weeks with our then 3 months old baby, so I can comment on this later on if you want!! When are you planning to go? My friend had her son there and I didn't hear anything complicated from her, but I will talk in details once we meet haha xx

Every place I. The world is child friendly. It’s your perspective that matters if I where to say the lest child friendly place it would be the USA lists of restaurants have an over 21 policy due to the algo ok licence. So you can’t even set foot inside even if you have a baby. You can go to Disney etc or child friendly places. But your not going to have the hands on love from others congratulating you waving at your kids helping you through doors etc as you do in most places around the world xxx

I would love to hear your thoughts if you don’t mind! We have just booked to take our LO in May when she will be 5 months x.

@Jennifer Heya!! We went last week to Seoul. Tbh it was harder than expected but we didn't know what to say, after I'm back a friend told me that we should say the word "suyushil" when in a big building with restaurants, since by law they need to have a small baby room area. Basically I had to change my baby nappy on the travel pram since no one knew where the baby change was in the restaurant and floor I was (not even a table available) so wasn't great! All subways stations has baby table to change the nappy, so if you're walking around or use the toilet use it then, as majority od the places don't have toilet indoors or baby friendly.

It was shocking the hotel didn't even had one 🤣🤣 we only were there for 2 days and it was a lot walking and eating outside with my friends.

Also if you fancy shopping baby stuff, go to Namdaemun Market
남대문시장! They have loads of baby stores on the street (exit 6 or 3 from the subway). They're pricey but cute!

Hi ladies, I just came across this thread as I’m after some advice for travelling with a 7 month old to Korea. It’s my best friends wedding so my partner and I would love to do this trip but I’m nervous! How did you find getting around Seoul with a buggy? Were restaurants and touristy areas generally accommodating for little ones? How did you find the public transport and taxis? Sorry for all the questions but any advice appreciated!

Hi ! I took my LO to Seoul in May for 10 days when she was 5 months and we absolutely loved it. We stayed in Myeongdong and took the metro absolutely everywhere - each station has an elevator so it was really easy with the buggy. Almost everywhere we went there was a nursing room which was so handy as we were EBF at the time. We found the local people were so friendly with our baby, they were completely besotted which was lovely. We weren’t at a stage of needing high chairs/food etc as we went pre weaning so can’t comment on that side of things but we overall found it a really positive trip.
