I always thought once I had the 12 weeks, I could breathe a little and my anxiety would calm down.
I feel like it’s only gotten worse. We had our 12 week ultrasound last week, everything looked great, heartbeat great. Honestly so far no reasons to worry at all, no previous miscarriage, and currently waiting on NIPT results.
But I still can’t shake something bad will happen. I just get in these mindsets where I swear I’m gunna lose the baby. I’ve been known to have general anxiety my whole life prior to pregnancy, but this is a whole new thing. It’s not all the time but on and off anxiety every few days.
What have you done to calm down? I’m thinking of doing yoga or meditation to try to relax a little. Has anything worked for you guys?

Feeling the same way!!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

I'm having the same problem. But I did have a miscarriage last year at 7 weeks. But I'm 13 weeks now. I am having my first ob on Monday. I had these ladies on a trip tell me these awful horror stories and ruined my brain. 🙄😵💫 I just try to tell myself nothing is wrong and it will be ok 👍

Yea I’d probably stay off peanut sometimes haha there are a lot of horrible stories.. the thing is all these horrible events that unfortunately happen to some people are only 1-2% but we hear about them because it’s devastating and people want to share and raise awareness as well. But those 98-99% who haven’t miscarried this cycle don’t share their news as often. As in why share the good news, good news is just good, why rub it in and many other reasons why people don’t, ie what if I jinx it. But what helps me is understanding of that statistic, that a lot of people do carry out healthy pregnancy without abnormalities etc. and I say whatever is meant to be meant to be and that kinda makes me let go of this want to control situation feeling. I bet you have anxiety due to control issues here as well, although could be wrong, but I think at the end of the day you need to understand where anxiety is coming from and then finding solutions to that issue

I can’t control the outcome of this pregnancy (besides being gentle with myself, not lifting heavy things, eating/sleeping properly, going for regular checkups and vitamins) so then I try to focus on what I can control like my work or my personal life. Meditation helps me tremendously, I try to focus on breathing or my body touching the surface of the chair or bed. Hope you can find something you’ll benefit from. Try out few things and see what works for you but be aware it takes time to reap the rewards, it took me about a month for me to feel better after meditating

All I’ve ever been told in pregnancy is, if there’s no blood, you’re safe!xx
