Best recommendations for over the counter eczema creams?

My toddler is nearly 2 and suffers with eczema flare ups on his elbows,knees, legs, arms and face but mostly on his face. We tried a cream prescribed by a paediatric dietician at the hospital over a year ago and it never worked I was using Aveeno Dermexa but the allergy nurse said to avoid is as it’s not good for their skin due to food base ingredients.. as he has allergies but my little one doesn’t have an oat allergy and was working fine for us so now I’m confused on what to use? Any suggestions..
