6 week old with a cold

My 6 week old has got a cold and is unsettled, persistent cough and very snotty. I’ve given him saline nose spray. Would you give calpol even if it’s 2 weeks earlier than recommend?

I had the same and was told to only give calpol for a fever because it doesn’t help with normal cold unfortunately.
Try some baby vicks oil, they can have it from birth, I just put a few drops on some tissue and put it near his bedside it rewlly helps with the bunged upness x
