Double stroller

Currently have a two year old and will have a newborn come April. Looking for a good double stroller. Any recommendations?

What infant car seat will you be using?

Great options:

UppaBaby Vista V2 - lots of configurations for car seats, bassinet, or toddler seat. Very sturdy and reliable. Pricey - $1000 (includes bassinet and toddler seat) Can accommodate different car seats with adapter (but might be limited on which ones?)

Mockingbird - a lot like UppaBaby. Lots of configurations. Believe it only includes toddler seat. Bassinet sold separately. ($500) can accommodate different infant car seats.

Graco Ready 2 Grow Stroller- similar to both mentioned. I believe only accommodates Graco car seat. ($250)

Having my first in April and we got the “mockingbird single to double stroller” .
We loved that it had the ability to become a double stroller when the time comes.
We also loved that you get the same stylish look as others in the market but at an affordable price!!

Baby #1 will be 2.5 when baby brother comes, im due April 2nd. I just ordered the Evenflo Pivot Xpand Modular travel system and it looks PHENOMENAL on YouTube and review videos. It comes tomorrow, I am WAY too excited 😂😂😂 ill come back with an update! (Comes with the infant car seat too)

I just got a Cybex gazelle. I really like it. My son is very tall, and he fits in the seats. He didn’t fit in any other tandem stroller and most side to side strollers. He fit in the yoyo, which is a great stroller, but it’s not durable enough for the use it will get with my family. I’ve used the gazelle a few times, and it’s fantastic and my son loves it. And it has a one pull harness-like most car seats have. It’s amazing.

I have the evenflo pivot and love it! I haven’t used it out with both infant and toddler or double toddler but I have put it together and it’s still super easy to manoeuvre around

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

Baby with chronic congestion

Hi everyone! My 1 year has been a congested baby since birth almost. She breathes through her mouth so often that it wakes her up multiple times at night and she cries and screams and then struggles to go back to sleep. She wakes up every 1-3 hours and sometimes can’t go back to sleep for 2-3 hours!!! Piriton is the only thing that seems to help her sleep mostly through the night but I can’t keep giving her that!!
Does anyone have tips as to have I can do or give her? Has anyone experienced? I have no idea when I’ll get an ENT appointment and I have no idea what he can give a 13 mo :( we are desperate for sleep so any tips are welcome!! We have tried steam inhalation, saline drops, vapour rubs and everything off the counter basically!

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?
