When do you panic for a head injury?

My 3 year old has had a lot of knocking to his head (falls) but now my 1 year old fell into furniture and I am panicking. This was different for me because initially under his temple, it dented inward ?? Then immediately began to smooth and swell outward. He’s fine, eating dinner and seemingly normal but I’ve never seen my other son’s head bumps start off denting inward. What would you think?
