Curious tell me your l&d experience

Went in to get induced at 40 weeks after my ob said we shouldn’t wait any longer due to safety of the baby and I wasn’t dilated at all! Went in that next Monday and was 10 cm by noon. I pushed for 4 hours and he was crowning but his head was stuck on my pubic bones and feet were stuck on some other bone.

They gave me the option to use the vacuum and get his head out but chances are his shoulders won’t fit or c-section. I chose c-section and he was delivered at 7:06 pm! I wasn’t the first to hold my baby and they knocked me out because I could feel them inside when I finally woke up he had swollen meconium and wouldn’t have made it due to the meconium if we hadn’t chose the c-section. My L&D nurses were incredible but my pp nurses could care less about me. What about you ?

I went into the hospital at 37 weeks due to some bleeding after sex. Was told I has gestational hypertension. Started being induced at 1130 pm on Monday the 5th and finally went in for a emergent c-section at 12 am on Thursday the 7th. The mid wife and nurses were not listening to me when I kept telling them something was wrong until they finally went to check me and realized my body was trying to push her out at 5 cm and her head was stuck in my cervix.

Some of my l&d nurses were great, also helped that I knew a few of them from being around the hospital from when I worked on the ambulance. My pp nurses were great.

Had a membrane sweep at 39 weeks and my water broke the following morning at 11am. Got to the hospital at 2:30pm and they checked me at 5:00 and I was 4cm. I asked for the epidural at 5:30pm. They were busy so I didn’t get the epidural until 7:00pm. I spent that 1.5 hours with extreme back labor. After getting the epidural I felt NOTHING. They didn’t check my cervix again until midnight and I was fully dilated and ready to push. I developed a fever and high blood pressure and babies heart rate was high. I pushed for an hour and she was born at 2:07am. I think the infection could have been avoided if they checked my cervix sooner. Who knows how long I was fully dilated and just laying there because I felt nothing due to the epidural.

I went in for induction at 39 weeks and had previously been in labor for 6 weeks but no water break yet. The 18th I went in at 8pm and was trying everything to become open they gave me two doses of cytotech and it opened me but his head was too big so the 19th they started me on pitocin and had me on it for 16 hours and my hand swole up like Mickey Mouse’s. The 20th I got woken up to the on call dr telling me I wasn’t going anywhere and was having my son today. I had a panic attack and hyperventilated during him checking my cervix and my sister demanded he leave and my ob be brought in. My oh came in and explained I was open but my son’s head was far too big to birth vaginally. I agreed to do a c section as long as I had minimal scaring at 10:50 I went into surgery at 11:39 and my son was born at 11:59. They had to clean out my cervix because he decided to poop in me. My blood pressure had dropped to 70/50 as soon as they cut me and had to give me 60ccs of blood. I would do for him❤️

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)
Thank you in advance! 🥰

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
