Baby movements and Anxiety

I'm 21 weeks today with an anterior placenta and I finally started feeling baby move the other week. I wasn't expecting to feel much for a while as I was warned that it may take more time but since recognising the feeling my anxiety has increased. I've been feeling baby quite a lot, when I'm relaxed at my desk working or after food but there are periods where I I won't feel anything and it gets me quite nervous. Anyone else feeling the same? Also is 21 weeks still quite early to feel movement consistently? It's my first baby so no idea what's normal 🙈

I’ve been feeling baby since 18 weeks (I’m 19+2 now) and there’s no real pattern at all! They move as and when they want 😂 I think they say from 24 weeks is when they should develop more of a pattern xx

Don't forget baby will sleep in there as well so when you are active and moving you are kind of rocking them and it can make them sleepy so there will be periods of times where you won't feel them but any worries please don't hesitate to reach out to midwives. They would rather you bother them than sit at home worrying 😊

That's reassuring to know. I was kinda prepared to start feeling a little nervous when I started feeling baby move as I'm a nervous nelly anyways but feeling them wriggle is the best feeling, I would be happy feeling it all the time if I could 😂

Baby movements aren't really regular until 24-28 weeks of pregnancy but they move about the nature time as much as they do even at the end of pregnancy just there is more space so they can aim at places you can't feel lol mine does it a lot but any scan he is a big wiggle worm still 🤣 but it's easier to feel while at rest as you aren't distracted also
