Hi everyone
Sorry for the random message but I was after some advice and information. I think my little boy (2 yrs and 9 months) may be Autistic or have some form of learning thing. He doesn't speak, says few words and then never says them when prompted. He lines things in a line. Spins in circles. Repetitive play even if I place other toys He still wants certain ones. Anyways I just wanted to know if you had any advice on who to go to to get him assessed as I want a happy little boy and to help him as best as I can. If there is any guidance or books you could recommend I'd really appreciate it. Iv spoken to his nursery SEN at the nursery I think he might be but she says she can't diagnose and I don't want her to diagnose I just want help to help him be his happiest.
Anyways thanks for any help, advice and information given x

Hi Nat, have you spoken to your HV? They might be able to help direct you to the relevant people to get him assessed etc.
I work with autistic and SEN children so if you have any questions or just fancy a chat feel free to message me 😊💙 xxx

I haven't spoken to H.V as she has seen us multiple times and was worried about his speech delay. I will get in contact with her. Thankyou. Is there any books or sites to help us to understand autism more. I'm panicking he won't be able to live a *normal* life and I'm over thinking everything and worried I'm not giving him the full support he needs x

Try not to worry too much about his future just yet (I know so much easier said than done!!) there are varying "levels" of autism and some individuals can lead "normal" lives while others need some/more support.
Once you get the ball rolling with assessments etc you will begin to find ways to vest support him
Like I said always happy to message you with some advice/support :) x

thankyou so much for all the help x
