hi, i’m having a c section in the next week and have a cart next to my bed to fill with things that i’ll need throughout the night, for baby and me, as i have no partner to help, but no idea what to add??? i’ve got the obvious like nappies, cotton wool, snacks etc but what else? 😅 i’ll be breastfeeding hopefully 🤞🏽

Nappy cream and pain relief for you x

Spare outfits for the baby incase of a blowout or wee accident especially if you’re having a boy 🤣🙈 and nipple cream and breast pads

Some snacks and water, breast pumps, diapers and wipes 2 xtra outfits, burp clothes, diaper ointment nipple balm, vitamins for you, breast pads...

People’s recommendations on here are great! I’d also recommend a bottle of water 😁

Pain killers, snacks, water, spare outfits and bed sheets for babies cot and a spare sleep sack if you’re using them, wipes, nappies, nipple cream, a book/magazines to read while you feed, nightlight, warm socks for you (I found my feet got so cold after I had baby), muslin, milk collector like a haaka or something like that for the side you aren’t feeding on, feeding pillow, large disposable maternity underwear. Have you got anyone who can help in the first few days?

By the way, I found that a dim orange nightlight and white noise machine helped my baby to stay asleep when I put her down. Game changer after a c section so could be worth getting these if your baby doesn’t like being laid down to sleep.
Also maternity pads and a bin for all old breast/maternity pads/nappies etc. nearby :)

Top shelf- breast pump with accessories, snacks, water bottle
Second shelf- diapers, wipes, butt cream, changing pad
Third shelf- breast pads, nipple cream, backup pump supplies, pacis

Suggestions are spot on!
At the beginning of breastfeeding I was drinking like 3 litres of water per night and another 3 during the day 😂
So water, pain killers and change of clothes for baby would be my top 3

You: nappies, pads, underwear, nipple pads, all your medication, some water, a few snacks
Baby: nappies, wipes, muslin cloths, bibs, nappy cream, vests, sleep suits
You really want a bunch of muslins and bibs so that the baby’s clothes stay dry and you’re not changing it every 2 hours ( made that mistake)

Hakka! I would be breast feeding and the boob I wasn’t feeding from would leak and soak babies clothes x
