Anyone take a trip to altitude while pregnant?

Sooo I have a wedding to go to in Breckenridge in June and I’ll be 26 weeks. Anyone go to altitude while pregnant and everything was fine??

I’ve been to Breckenridge once not pregnant and legit felt like I couldn’t breathe the first day lol. To the point I was almost gunna leave cause i was having a panic attack. After the first night I was fine but still. But yeah we landed and immediately drove from Denver to breckenridge so think i just went too quickly. This time my husband said we will go and spend the first day in Denver to get use to it and it will be fine. Everyone plus the bride keeps saying i would be totally fine. I’m like idk will I?!??? But this is also one of my very best friends and this is a VERY VERY small wedding in the mountains. They aren’t even doing a reception. Almost more like an elopement. Like only her parents/his parents and their siblings, plus us and one other friend will be there, like she legit was trying to even plan the date around me even tho i said please just don’t do that lol but yeah she asked me if i preferred June, July, August (I’m due sept) or the month after i give birth. She was leaning towards changing it to October because she thought it would be easier for me not to be pregnant. I was like dude I’m not going to be flying with a one month old!!! she’s like no, you obviously wouldn’t bring him. I’m like uhhhh I’m not leaving my newborn! (She doesn’t have kids she doesn’t know) Lol so she told me she will keep it being June.

But truly am scared to be at altitude. I don’t mine flying because i was still flying with my first pregnancy later on but it’s truly just the attitude part that worries me!!!! Tell me it will be ok!!!!

The CDC says:
High Elevation Travel
Pregnant people should avoid activities at high elevation unless they have trained for and are accustomed to such activities; those not acclimated to high elevation might experience breathlessness and palpitations. The common symptoms of acute mountain sickness (insomnia, headache, and nausea) frequently are associated with pregnancy, and it might be difficult to distinguish the cause of the symptoms. Most experts recommend a slower ascent with adequate time for acclimatization. No studies or case reports show harm to a fetus if the mother travels briefly to high elevations during pregnancy; recommend that pregnant people not sleep at elevations >12,000 ft (≈3,600 m) above sea level, if possible. Probably the greatest concern is that high-elevation destinations often are inaccessible and far from medical care

Breckenridge is 9,600. Denver is 5,280.

Take your time getting there. Buy air in cans to help with oxygen. We did Keystone almost weekly though pregnancy but also live in Denver so not as huge a change. Mom and baby are fine.

Honestly I just wouldn’t go especially if it’s going to make you this anxious. It’s a shame but your friend should understand
