Endometriosis awareness month

March is endometriosis awareness month. So let's explore the link between Endo and gut health! Hormones and the Gut linkšŸ’— šŸ„“Is PMS, PCOS, Endo a sign of digestive issues? šŸ¤”Can healing the gut help with common infertility issues such as endometriosis and PCOS? The answer is a resounding YESā¤ļø šŸ˜”Our digestive system is always involved in PMS, PCOS, endometriosis and other hormonal abnormalities! When our gut bacteria is imbalanced, toxins produced by unhealthy gut flora interfere in the delicate balance of hormones in the body - Some hormones become low or insufficient, other hormones become excessive. We start to see signs of imbalance like: Bloating, headaches, irregular periods, infertility, heavy cycles and more, are all affected and directed by the health of our gut microbiome and diet! The gut us the 1st place to start and focus, when you want to balance your hormones. Do you know anyone who struggles with hormone issues? This is step 1 to start the healing processā™” If you need help fixing your gut, I am happy to share with you what I have seen work for soo many!! It's interesting isn't it. I got the IBS diagnosis first then bowel endo and always wondered if IBS was just a misdiagnosis. During pregnancy my digestion was much better. Apart from heartburn! Now that I'm breastfeeding I have no pain in the front of my stomach just lower back from digestive issues so I don't know maybe I have IBS separately as well after all

@Alex that is a very good possibility

@Alex after my hysterectomy I still suffered from ibs, bloating and pain

@Alex my indigestion was so much improved during pregnancy that I didnā€™t have to take my medication. Now if I go a day without the medication, I suffer badly . I was always curious as to why that was and hadnā€™t even thought about it linking to my endo. My surgery was back in 2017 so no idea what my insides look like now but I do know I had bladder endo back then.

@Katie what medication do you take?

@Tami itā€™s medication for GERD, omeprazole, as I said, unlinked (or so I thought) to the endo, but curious that my symptoms disappeared during pregnancy

@Katie do you want to talk more about it? You would be surprised by how things are related in the gut.
