Transitioning from bottle to sippy/straw cup

My twins are 16 months and they drink all other liquids from straw cup but refuse to take milk from it. They want nothing to do with it and throw it on the floor!
Help!
I know it’s really bad for their teeth and I’m just trying to get them off of it.

If your baby used pacifier, did you also wean bottle and pacifier at the same time?

Any tips and tricks will help!

No advice really - we kept the bottle until 2 for milk & water - it was that or no drinking. Then dropped it completely for a water bottle with a straw, put milk in it once, was a nightmare to clean 😳. Saw nursery had offered milk in an open cup so we bought him a big boy cup n he drinks everything except water from that at the table supervised then we have the water bottle for water he can roam around with.

Is it because they like to tip the cup back when they drink milk? My kids are backwards, they don’t know how to drink from sippy cups because they only know straws.

We didn’t wean from pacifier until after 3 years with the oldest. My youngest will be two and we keep it for bed time only.

My little one won't take milk in a sippy unless it is warm and she gets snuggles with it too. It also helped us to have a designated milk sippy that we only and always use for milk so she knows exactly what is in it before she tastes it.
