I had one doctor tell me that there’s no reason not to start trying 2 weeks after my D&C, and another doctor tell me that it could lead to recurrent miscarriage and that I should wait 2-3 cycles. Hard to know what is right with such mixed signals. Anyone care to share what their doctor recommended? Thanks!

My doctors told me to wait at least one cycle for the best chance of success, it's good to give your body a little time to recover. It's a difficult time to go through, I'm sorry you are dealing with all this ❤️

I had my D&C in August and we tried as soon as the ovulation sticks turned positive. I got my first cycle back in September and we tried again based on ovulation sticks when my cycle came in October. I said f it to ovulation sticks and we just had a month off and then I fell pregnant. I’m 21 weeks with a healthy boy. Start trying when you feel up to but don’t put pressure on yourself. My recommendation is don’t use ovulations sticks as it misses with your mental health. Just track your cycle (I used flo) and enjoy your partner ❤️

For my early miscarriages (6-7 weeks) I didn’t wait. I had a chemical immediately following my second early miscarriage. I had a second trimester loss in November and had to have a followup d&c in December for retained placenta. My doctor told me to wait at least once cycle just because my body had already been through so much with the late loss as well as the procedures. The cycle that we didn’t try ended up being super short (23 days) so we wouldn’t have gotten pregnant even if we did try. The next cycle I got pregnant and here I am at 6w3d - with great initial beta hCGs so I’m pretty hopeful.

So…. I miscarriage in mid December. I was sad and frustrated and just wanted to get pregnant again. I put so much pressure on myself and I got so frustrated I didn’t get pregnant on the first 2 cycles. Forwarding now to my 4th cycle, when I look back my body wasn’t the same and wasn’t till last cycle my hormones were still all over the place. Now I feel that’s the first month (3 months later) that I am ready phisically and hormonal to try again, so yeah I ovulate on the other months but I also spot and felt so different… my sis does traditional Chinese medicine and on their beliefs is that the womb needs at least 2-3 cycles after your period post miscarriage to reset. and now i see why thia js absolutely true. now its up to you but i do see myself now in a much better place to try after "not" waiting for 3 months
