I’ve had blood tests twice now which have come back normal. The last one just 2 weeks ago. But the itching on my hands and feet is getting so bad at night I’ve been up every half hour just scratching and scratching! Worried they could’ve got it wrong but surely not they know what they’re looking for. Any tips on how to stop the itching?

I’m also suffering with really itchy skin .. on my face and on my hands/ around my wrist … keeping me up at night 😢 I’ve had blood tests too but nothing.
Nothing I try is soothing the itchiness and it’s always worse at night ☹️

it’s the worst isn’t it! I hope it’s something that stops once baby arrives!

yeah it really is 😭 I’m 40w today so hopefully baby will arrive soon and skin will go back to normal 🤞

I have cholastisis and I'm currently being induced but piriton works well for my itching, its safe to take when pregnant, as well dark blue aveeno which I put on twice a day x

I had this when I was pregnant with my 2nd and got diagnosed with PUPPS, the only thing that helped was taking children’s chloraphenamine liquid, it’s an antihistamine and in the words of the midwife “no other antihistamines come close to it”, that and as cold as you can handle showers xx

Thanks everyone will give that a go!

After reading the comments on here I just went to the pharmacy for some antihistamines and they wouldn’t give them to me as they said you can’t take them in pregnancy 😅 I also picked up some aveeno moisturiser to try but that’s making my skin burn 😞 xx

My midwife said antihistamines are fine, I think pharmacies are just super cautious. I’m exactly the same. Went in with itchy feet last week and they took bloods which were slightly elevated but they said they didn’t suspect OC. Super itchy all week again since and back for bloods tomorrow so hoping it isn’t that! It’s bizarre isn’t it!!!
