Why are outfits sizes always hit or miss🙈

Feel like every time I buy a ‘tracksuit’ or top and bottom set, the bottoms are ok (or even to big) and the top are always far too snug. Particularly ones with jumpers that pull on, can never get them on or off without feeling like I’m hurting the wee man 😖 a little button would be great to loosen them (which some tshirts do have). Anyone else find this?
