Constipated🥴

Is anyone else severely constipated? I’ve been eating loads of high fibre foods, fresh fruit etc and nothing is helping😭 are laxatives a safe option?

I've been soaking chia seeds (2 teaspoons) in coconut water (overnight) and drinking that every morning. It has helped with my constipation a lot. Also add on all bran or weetabix for breakfast for extra fibre. Drink lots of water too!

I just drank loads of cranberry juice! Obviously depending on how far you are I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re past 34 weeks. But cranberry juice helped me go to the toilet and felt soooo much better! Not just one glass, have quite a few

oh why’s this? I’ve just started drinking it because of a UTI, I’m 35 weeks today

I’m not exactly sure why, but apparently it increases fluids in your body which help relieve constipation. I’ve done it a few times, up until yesterday, and it relieved me after a short while.

Baby prune pouches work wonders🤣

I’ve been taking over the counter laxatives, as well as prescribed laxative and stool softener. Took a couple of weeks for these to work but all is fine now. I wouldn’t wait I’d just ring your gp and ask for a prescription x

If you already tried all natural methods, do use a laxative, specially if you are constipated for a couple of days, if you wait too long, when you finally go to the bathroom you can get hemorrhoids because you will be too dry.

I eat about 10 prunes a day and drink loads of water, and prescribed lactulose x
