Dressing csection wound
Hey all
I’ve been given some dressings by my dr as my incision has opened a bit. I haven’t got an infection but it is a little weepy and there is an overhang so I’ve been given the dressings to stop any bacteria getting into it and to keep it clean/dry. But she didn’t tell me how often to change it, I usually shower every morning which I did as normal today but I didn’t take the dressing off as I only put one on last night! I was going to wash the incision and put a new dressing on tonight so change it every 24 hrs does that sound right?!
How often should I be changing it do you think?!

I had several openings in my scar and wasn't given any dressings so I guess it depends on how big the opening is?
My biggest was about 2cm I think and was pretty deep but I was told it just keep it clean and dry and it closed on its own 🙈
