Does anyone have any experience with council housing in Northampton. I have split up with my partner and he has said I need to move out with our 4month baby so I sent my application to the council this week and I’m not sure how long it will take till they get back to me and when I can move into temporary or permanent accommodation

Ask your health visitor if there are any agency's that could help you. Same thing just happened to me but I have 2 children and I am 36 weeks pregnant. My health visitor referred me to someone called light for life and they gave me a band a with housing and have put me in temp accommodation In a 3 bedroom house , new beds, fully furnished the lot. I was sharing a box room with my daughter in my mums and the stress was unbearable. There are people who can help you. I Hope you get sorted xx
Thank you for this and congratulations for getting somewhere secure for your babies. I’ll be sure to call my health visitor. Are you now able to bid since you’re now in band A?

Yes I get 2 bids every week. I should have somewhere permanent after 56 days but I'm due to give birth so its going to be eventful 😅
Just glad I got the help. There must be places like light for life in your area too. Good luck xx

I’d call them and tell them you’re now homeless and they should help you. Or failing that, go to the council if you can wait until Monday. X
