Parents of boyfriend

So we don’t have anyone kiss our baby on the face and every so often my boyfriends dad would think we’re not looking and he’ll kiss him on the face I see it but my boyfriend doesn’t and every time I say something to my boyfriend about his parents he says something to them but doesn’t say it’s me saying anything but he’s already said something to them about not kissing the baby on the face and he still does it like disrespectful and we live with them so I don’t want to cause a fight

i would politely ask not to do that yourself so it gets the point across. you're the mother they need to respect that too

I’ve said it before and even about washing their hands before touching the baby the dad never does and sometimes he’d make jokes about it

Me personally if they want to keep on disrespecting you and your boyfriend I would keep your distance from them for awhile

i was just about to say that if they are crossing boundaries that make you feel safe and secured with your babies health don't let them around her or just do your own thing with her for a bit

right I’ve had to deal with the same thing with my last 3 kids and hopefully I don’t have to deal with it again here in less then 4 weeks when I have my little girl. Mine got so bad at one point I kicked half my family out of my life because of the disrespect

Don’t let them hold the baby. Sorry you live with them. But I see that being the only solution

So stop letting them hold your baby...

I'd tell him you saw him and that the reason you're telling them not to kiss baby is because RSV is common and if he doesn't respect these simple rules then he can't see the baby. Sorry if it sounds harsh but sometimes its the only way

My (almost) Father in law is verrry similar, I saw them doing it so I told them don’t kiss the baby and they constantly make jokes about it. I told them if I see it happening again they won’t be holding him and then no one will be laughing! TBh the older he gets the less concerned I am about kissing him (although it’s still a rule) but it’s now a lot about not disrespecting my requests with my child.
