I am a first time mom and planning on going unmedicated. I will be delivering in a hospital, however I would like any tips or tricks you all have used for your unmedicated hospital births! Any links to videos, techniques, articles, resources please lmk!! I feel like I have a pretty high pain tolerance, I had four teeth removed while 5 months pregnant so I was awake under no anesthesia lol. What pain should I expect? Extreme period cramps? Pressure? Please lmk!!!

I just had my baby unmedicated 2 days ago and honestly, to me it felt like having to poop very badly and having extreme period pains at once.
What helped me most was holding a comb and getting counter pressure on my hips. I also did lots of prep:
- eating dates
- drinking red raspberry leaf tea
- evening primrose oil
- hypnobirthing and breathing exercises in general
- took different birth classes like Lamaze
But I think you can absolutely do it unmedicated, it's hard but it's manageable :)

congrats!! thank you for this, i know it’s a mental thing (from what i’ve heard) & being in a good mindset helps a lot. i will definitely take these tips into consideration in hopes to have a successful birth!
