TMI I THINK ~ Hi ladies, this is my first pregnancy, and I have no idea if this is normal or not. I’m experiencing really sharp pains in the morning that i believe are gas pains. It happens right before I go #2. Anyway, it’s THE WORST & extremely sharp. This isn’t what labor pains are like right?? Any idea how to make this go away??

How far along are you

7 weeks today

I had the same thing happen to me around the same time when I was pregnant it was the worst gas I ever had! I googled it and I read some things about adult colic. So I think that was probably it. It never happened again so idk for sure🤷🏼♀️

thank you!!!

It’s all of your hormones making a mess of your system but they’re normal as long as they’re not constant and/or accompanied by bleeding. But just wait this is actually the lesser of the pains you’ll get. Around your second trimester you’ll start becoming afraid of stretching out your legs 😅 nobody warned me about the violent leg cramps that can occur when you straighten out your legs even in your sleep

Following I had stomach issues before this like constant constpation and I’m having the exact same issue as you right now my stomach is so large rn and I’m barely pregnant

your gonna have stomach pains while your baby grows and also your body is getting ready so this baby can be carried to full term. To me it sounds like growing pains because they do feel like period cramps

did you find anything that helped

No not really I just kinda had to ride it out it only happened once so I didn’t really try to find a solution that hard

I’ve been experiencing this too and it’s been miserable! The only thing helping me is to take Gas X my dr said it’s safe for pregnancy and it truly does help! Also when your on the toilet try lengthening your torso and sitting tap but taking a deep breath and relaxing and then getting some of that air out if possible, ik it’s strange to talk about this but it is honestly so helpful that way your not straining your stomach and back muscles trying to get rid of all that trapped air causing the discomfort! I also use my heating pad on my stomach and back and that helps to settle my stomach also
