I got sent for a growth scan after a midwife appointment because my baby was measuring giant, turns out it’s actually smaller than average - apparently they can’t accurately measure the weight of any baby so take it with a pinch of salt ! X

🙋🏻♀️ my little boy was at 30 fundal height at 28 weeks and 32 at 30 weeks. Midwife wasn’t concerned as the growth trajectory is right and also measuring the bump is quite outdated and not reliable. Yours looks like it’s getting more aligned though!
what do you mean alinged ?

That it’s getting closer to the 97th centile line

I’ve been told my babies head is 96th percentile but yeah people keep telling me not to overthink it as they rarely get measurements correct. But my partner is 6’4 and not exactly small so figure is probably not far off 😂

My friend gave birth in January and was consistently measuring where you are on the chart. She had growth scans and at 36/37 weeks came up with a plan with her providers that she would have a sweep at 38 weeks and be induced at 40.
She had her sweep at 38 weeks and it worked and she went into labour within 24 hours so was clearly ready for him to be born.
He was born at an absolutely perfect 8lb something.
Try not to worry, even if baby is big there are plenty of options xxx

At this stage scans are up to 50% inaccurate. I’ve gone from having a “big baby” to now a “small baby”. Make it make sense?!

Sorry changing a tad bit the subject but are you expecting a girl? (Just wondering if they show a difference then between girl and boy growth chart)

Just the good ol “your baby is too big, let’s induce you for safety reasons aka so we can plan our rota and have control over your birth)
Babies come in different sizes and shapes and most of the time those measurements are absolute nonsense
I don’t no the sex

Ah right ok, excitiiiing!

Sorry to jump on but how do you get access to your charts?
it’s on your app

we got them on BadgerNotes but personally I can't click on it so can't see much haha

I got sent for a growth scan on Thursday as fundal height wasn’t near the 3rd centile line and saying he was small to then have a scan that he was on 89th centile and now them saying he might be too big so I’m being sent for more scans! It’s so confusing but I think the fundal height measurements are so outdated but suppose it’s just what they have to do 🤷🏻♀️

oh we dont have badger notes in England

they've started using it in the UK since September I think but it's not widely spread yet, I can see loads of women still with the paper blue notes :)

I don’t seem to have any notes. I have a paper folder but my midwife doesn’t actually put anything in there 🤷♀️ it only has info from my scans in it

yeah it's the same with BadgerNotes, have to ask every time I see someone for them to update the info and it's almost nothing...
