How to dress April Baby?

I will be back here when someone answer because I feel the same way 🤣 the Internet list can't be confusing and overwhelming

My friend helped me with this as I was so confused! We packed two short sleeve vests, two sleep suits, and two leggings. I packed a blanket my mum knitted, as well as two hats and some mittens.

I am clueless but have packed short sleeve vests and then babygrows to pop on her and then cellular blankets. I think cellular for the hospital for baby to sleep in then fluffy one to come home in is fine. Can always swap to cellular if it’s a warm day and spring decides to arrive 🙈 I’ve got a cardigan for her to wear to come home in as an extra layer then.

I haven’t brought any long sleeve vest. I have short sleeve vest with baby grows, a hat, scratch mittens and a cellular blanket for the hospital as it can be quite warm. Then a fluffy blanket to go home in just incase it’s not warm and also a cardigan

I packed 2 short sleeve vests and one long sleeve incase, then a sleepsuit and a blanket and a hat for after birth. I don’t think you need a jacket for baby. X

I found cellular were better when had my daughter as fluffy seemed to make her sweaty

I think will depend on the weather, sometimes it hot, sometimes it's cold in April. I've bought a mix of items of summery stuff and knitted jumpers etc just got short sleeve vests, no long ones, cellular blankets, muslin blankets x

My first baby was an April baby too and it was quite warm that year but they still need plenty of layers. Short sleeve vest, sleep suit, cardigan and a blanket. Hands and feet covered. Hat when outside. Babies can’t regulate their temperature for quite a while so rely on layers for warmth

Our antenatal lady did recommend having one or two long sleeved ones in the hospital bag just because when they're first born they struggle to regulate their own temperature. But I think once we get going we won't use long sleeve much, so don't need too many!

Thank you so much everyone for your kind responses. Ive got the vests so ill take a long sleeved one incase. Ive got like a one piece outfit for coming home so ill just take a little cardigan incase it is cold. Just dont know what to expect with the weather in April😅

its so confusing isn’t it?!! On top of that idk how big the babys gonna be so struggling on what sizes to take😂😂 at this rate my bags gonna be filled with vests and sleepsuits

I’ve packed short sleeve & a long sleeve vest, and babygrows. Also a cardigan and a cellular blanket. If you are in doubt just pop some warmer bits in a spare bag and keep in your car at hospital. Xx

I’ve pack 2x long sleeve and 2x short sleeve bodysuits and a 2x normal sleep suits, 1x thick-ish sleepsuit, 1 cardigan and 1 blanket. April weather is unpredictable.

I went so many times to pack ‘the bag’ but each time I just felt like I didn’t know what was doing. My friend came for the weekend and made me do it so we sat in the baby’s room together and laid out some outfits. I was so happy once we’d done it! But…… I think whatever you do, don’t stress about it - even we dont have it bang on, it will still be fine.
