Has anyone else stopped buying maternity and started shopping for their DELULU girl summer!? Currently have online orders on the way of my pre-baby size summer clothes (including crop tops?? Lol I’m going to be a mom like am I ok?) and one practical one peice bathing suit. Maybe a deeper rooted issue of wanting/wondering if I’ll get my old body back after baby. Has anyone else dealt with this? I’m so over the maternity clothes.

Totally get it haha, i thought id snap back with my first but my body is just different now, not bad different but definitely took some getting used to.

I’m currently dealing with this I have 8 more weeks to go and I refuse to buy any more maternity clothes. I gained 35 lbs and I’m worried if I’ll be able to get back to my pre baby weight.

I’m dead. I only rented maternity clothes through Nuuly and have been buying summer clothes for after baby 😂 personally I find is as motivation

Second time mom, and no lololol. I'm probably going to keep wearing these soft maternity clothes for a hot minute.

yup, I bought a dress and 2 tops already, one pair of shoes and another one coming hahaha

I think it depends on your body type and previous weight. I was 207lbs when I got pregnant with my daughter and went up to 245lbs. I lost 20lbs immediately after she was born but gained it back by the time she was a year old. I then started a fitness journey and lost 60lbs when I got pregnant again with this baby. My starting weight was 187lbs and I'm guesstimating I'll be around 220lbs at full term. I was around 180lbs at my most fit in high school so I looked pretty close to how I did back then. I've always had an apron belly so my postpartum tummy didn't look much different to me. I was 2 pants sizes down after losing weight, so it is possible to "get your body back" but again, it depends.

It took several months to be back to pre pregnancy size for me each pregnancy and I actually never got all the way back to my pre first pregnancy size before i got pregnant with my second. After my second i was close to my pre first baby size when i once again got pregnant. Make sure your not putting too much stress on yourself to get back to a certain weight or look because being healthy physically and mentally is way more important than your body size is. Pregnancy and birth changes your body in some ways that never seem to fully go back and your style may change with that. I like to have lots of nursing friendly stuff and lots of flowy dresses for postpartum
