MIL requested photo of placenta when the time comes

She's fascinated by the biology. Feel a bit weird about it.. so may say we 'forgot'. Would you do it??

I just gave birth early at 36+4 and I asked to see the placenta and took a photo. I was in awe that I made that organ and grew my baby! I’d recommend seeing it at the very least. You can always take a photo and see how you feel after birth x

Second time giving birth I wanted to see it but didn't take a pic tho. Might this time round. But I wouldn't wanna show anyone else. But if someone asked I wouldn't mind showing from my phone I guess but definitely would not send

If she was nice about it, I would send the pic. I have a picture of my last baby's placenta and also had a print done with with, I don't think it's gross, it's actually pretty cool. If you have a good relationship with MIL and she is a nice person, why not? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t see why not, it’s only a placenta 🤷🏻‍♀️
My midwife & student midwife were fascinated with mine from my second baby as they’d never seen anything like it 🤣 so my student midwife asked if she could take a picture of it

I wouldn't do anything that makes me feel weird about my pregnancy/delivery/baby. The fact that it would make me feel weird is enough of a pointer a boundary is being crossed, so mmmmnope. Sorry ma'am no placenta 🤣

Maybe take a photo for your own records but don’t send it to her, just show her it on your phone? Mine would end up sending it to everyone she knew if she had a copy 🙄🤣
