It depends on which hospital you want to give birth at if you plan on a hospital birth. I ended up going to an obgyn in Markham Stouffville since I want to be at that hospital and not a lakeridge one

There’s one in Whitby Dr Rubabaza who is pretty decent if you don’t mind a male obgyn. He’s very friendly and the staff there are quite nice too. Not sure at the moment if he’s accepting new patients but he’s a referral based obgyn I believe

Your doctor will send out referrals to some… but they don’t usually contact you until like month 4/5 to make an appointment… I had doctor Burke she was good… the on call doctor I had at the Oshawa hospital tho was amazing wish I knew her name for you… also congratulations so happy for you two!!

Highly suggest community cares midwives as a first time mom, they’re right across from the Oshawa hospital. They actually take the time with you and you aren’t just another number. I also really appreciated that they do postpartum care for six weeks.
