I’m taking my baby swimming on Monday. The pool is 32-33 degrees. I’m not sure whether to buy a regular swimming costume or a warm fleece lined one? He likes to be really warm and wrapped up so I’m thinking fleece lined but on the website it says don’t put them in one of those because of the risk of overheating. I’m not sure what to do. FTM as you can probably tell 😂

Our daughter just wears bikini bottoms and that’s it! And nappy of course. But there are some babies in the lesson who wear little wet suits as they like to be completely covered. Maybe start with a regular costume and if he doesn’t like it, get a different outfit for the next week? Is it a lesson as the instructor can advise.

Thanks! He’s pretty chubby so he should be ok 😂 it is a lesson so I’ll have to ask the teacher on Monday. I’ll try a normal one and see how we go.

The pool we go to is around that, he just wears his happy nappy duo.
When I took my first child swimming at the leisure centre, it felt cold and his little lips would go blue quickly so he would wear a full splashabout all in one wetsuit thing.

A few of the babies cried so the instructor brought a wetsuit for them to try the next lesson and they settled in that. Our baby must be happy on the cooler side. Although the water at the pool we go to is very warm! We swim with Water Babies and they’ve been brilliant.

My baby wears a sunsuit type all in one x
